Every Day Mathematician

Submitted by chris.killpack on Wed, 02/23/2022 - 12:01

We have a new Every Day Mathematician bulletin board hanging in our North Hall here at PJHS. Thanks to Ms. Cope for updating this for us. Our highlight this round is our very own Mr. Evans! He teaches in the Special Education Department here at PJHS and is a mountain biking expert. Check out the bulletin board next time you're around to see how he uses mathematics in all sorts of ways with mountain biking.

Congratulations to our students who placed at the PHS Science Olympiad program! Daphne Romrell, Alexis White, and Devon Hansen have all been fantastic. Alexis and her partner got 1st place (gold medals) in the rocks and minerals event at our competition on Saturday the 12th. Daphne has been working really hard on experimental design and her group got 4th place in that event at the competition. It's really helped the team to be able to have PJHS students join us!

Students of the Month

Submitted by chris.killpack on Fri, 02/11/2022 - 10:55

9th grade:
Leah Sorenson----Where do I start with Leah? Leah is one of the nicest girls I know! I have never seen her be rude or disrespectful to anyone. She is always willing to let other students join in and makes them feel wanted and comfortable. She is always bubbly and happy, very rarely do you see her without a smile on her face. I love the confidence that she has to always be herself! Great job Leah, and keep on being YOU!  -Mrs. Paxton
