PJHS Bagpipe Club

Submitted by lexi.jackman on

Come learn about bagpipes! Ms. Diana and Ms. Leanne teach this Bagpipe Club. You will learn about Scottish culture, basic fingerings, note reading, and bagpipe music on a practice chanter. This is the first step to learning how to play the bagpipes! We will have sanitized bagpipe practice chanters that can be rented from the school or you may purchase your own with our group discount order. We will meet every Thursday after school in the band room.

PJHS VETERANS DAY TRIBUTE EXTENDED

Students of the Payson Junior High Fine Arts Department have extended their tribute to Veterans well beyond the single day celebrated in November. Due to the pandemic, in-person concerts were not allowed and sickness delayed recording the digital version. Eager to express their appreciation, students gladly “suited up” a full month after Veterans Day and prepared segments of music and narration that have been loaded online for your viewing pleasure. Please enjoy their performances by following the links below.

Parent Teacher Conference Sign ups

December 3rd, 2020

3 pm-7:30 pm

Due to Covid we will be using a different format for Parent Teacher Conferences.  Teachers will be in their classrooms and have schedules you can sign up for to meet with them.  We understand this can be hard to schedule with Junior High students because of their 7 different teachers.

PJHS Money Wars

Submitted by lexi.jackman on

This year the student council and counseling department are teaming up for a sub for santa fundraiser. This week, the 2nd period class that raises the most money by the end of Monday, November 23rd will get a prize! The more money we raise, the more ridiculous dares our teachers will participate in.  So far, we've seen some of our staff here at PJHS get pies in the face and kiss pigs! We love the idea of our staff and students at PJHS taking part and pride in any efforts to support families this coming holiday season.
