10th Anniversary - PJHS Mt. Loafer Hike

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Payson Junior High School offers 2 hikes a year, the Loafer Mountain hike in the Fall and the Big Tree hike in the Spring.  These are great outdoor activities that all students are welcome to attend.  Students that haven’t hiked with the school before need to qualify by passing a physical and written test.  The Loafer Mountain hike is a 12-mile round trip with a beautiful view of Utah Valley.

On Labor Day Payson FFA members participated in the Onion Days parade and organized a petting zoo for citizens in the community.  FFA members gathered; goats, chickens, miniature horses, cows, and sheep for the Children's Carnival held at the Peteetneet Museum and Cultural Center.  We had a lot of fun serving the youth and families in our community and are looking forward to doing it again next year.
