3rd Place overall sweepstakesPJHS was the highest scoring junior high in the participating Nebo School District!!!Monologues:
Here at Payson Jr. High, we encourage all our students to work hard. The more time and effort you put into your work, the higher your achievements will be! Your effort will make you stronger! Keep working hard, Grizzlies. You're all wonderful. And remember: don't stop until you're proud!
Just a reminder we have Parent Teacher Conferences TONIGHT from 3:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The teachers will be in the cafeteria, seated by departments. Thanks in advance to our PTA for feeding our faculty a delicious dinner!
Payson Junior was surprised with a fun delivery from our local Payson Walmart! They brought in boxes and boxes of supplies for our teachers and students to use. One of our students even said to me, "It feels like Christmas!" What a happy day at Payson Junior High. We feel truly grateful for the support!
Payson Junior High benefits greatly from the School Land Trust program. This past year we were able to hold numerous faculty inservice trainings and planning sessions. We purchased classroom equipment such as computers, white boards, video screens and sound systems. We also purchased teaching and reading materials to help our teachers and their focus on student learning.
Today at Payson Jr. High, we held an assembly celebrating the memory of those whose lives were lost in the events that occurred on September 11, 2001. We celebrated the courage, bravery, and sacrifice of those who put themselves in danger in order to protect and rescue others. We were joined by members of the Utah National Guard, members of Payson's police and fire departments, as well as other members of the community.
We hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. We now are on the countdown to fall break. There are just a few reminders for our parents and students to help this year continue to run smooth.
1- Dress code- Please review the dress code policy for Nebo School District. We are seeing a few violations of the dress code and would like to address this early in the year. If you have any questions regarding the dress please reference the attached student handbook.
Kelly Cobia, one of our students at Payson Junior High, was awarded the Mayor's Youth Recognition Award by the Payson City Council earlier this week. This award recognizes Kelly's hard work and effort to improve our school and community. She helps other students to be successful while also increasing their confidence. Kelly was nominated for this award by teachers who have experienced and appreciated her contributions. Here's what they have to say:
