Advanced Orchestra Excels At District Assessment

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Congratulations to our Advanced Orchestra who just received a straight superior rating at their District Assessment Concert for a judge.
(That is the equivalent of getting a straight A on a final exam.)

The students played very accurately, but more importantly - expressively! The judge said he had nothing to say, and then worked with the kids on some high school level bow techniques to improve their ability to keep their tone on the slower parts.

PJHS Parents and Students,

We would like to encourage all our parent and students to attend Parent Teacher conference tonight! It is a great time to sit down with teachers and get the real answers to questions like, “do you have homework?” Or “Why is your grade a ___?” Or my favorite, “I’ve turned everything in, the teacher is just slow grading it!”. But seriously, please attend and see the teachers you feel you need to. Thanks parents for all your help and support!

Grizzly Update, February 7, 2017

PJHS Parents and Students,

It seems strange how the weather can change so fast! It’s a distant memory of the snow, sliding on the road and the late start day. Students’ grades aren’t as easy to change. Please work with your students and help them stay caught up this term. We are almost to midterm! We will also have parent - conferences on Wednesday, February 15th! Please plan on attending with your student!

•Braxton Monroe took 2nd in the 160 weight division and
•Louis Williams took first in state in the 175 weight division.

Congratulations on your hard work!

January 31 Grizzly Update

PJHS Parents and Students,

We have seen an increase in tardies, some of this has been due to the weather and the snowy roads. Please make every effort to have students here on time. If they are late, please remember to send a note or call to excuse! You can call anytime and leave a message or respond to the email you receive.

Once students are here we still have too many tardies! Please encourage them to be to class on time!
