Last Day of the Term
The last day of term 1 is coming up this Thursday, Oct. 21st. There won’t be any school the next day, so if students still have missing work to turn in to teachers to raise their grades, it needs to be submitted by Thursday.

Halloween Activities
On Friday, Oct. 29th, we will have activities to celebrate the end of October during the final hour of the day (classes will be slightly shortened to facilitate the activity schedule for that day). Students are allowed to wear costumes to school, but remember to avoid costume masks or any toy weapons as those are not allowed by district policy. During the final hour of school that Friday, students will have a variety of activities to choose from, with a list posted around the school for a couple of days before so students can plan where they're going to go. Once they pick their chosen activity, students will stay in that room for the whole hour- no switching from room to room. We'll have a dance in the cafeteria, and a variety of other activities around the school to choose from. We look forward to having lots of fun!
8th Grade Vision Screening
Our school nurse is conducting a vision screening for all 8th grade students on Monday, Nov. 1st, and would love to have some parent volunteers to assist with this public service. If you’d be available to help us from 8 to 10 am on Nov. 1st, please use this link to sign up:

Term 1 Reward Activity
We are excited to announce our first reward activity for the end of term 1. We have scheduled a movie day on Nov. 10th to see the film Ron’s Gone Wrong. All students who have attended first term with less than 4 tardies are eligible for this reward. Students and parents can view the total number of tardies for the term by logging in to your Infinite Campus account and selecting the attendance option. There will be a charge of $5 that must be paid to the finance office for eligible students to be bused to the theater, see the movie, and enjoy a drink and popcorn during the movie. Students can begin paying their $5 after they receive an admittance ticket during their 7th period classes on Wednesday, November 3rd. The parent permission form must be signed and payment must be made prior to being admitted onto the bus the morning of the 10th.
