9th Grade Party
Hey Freshman- come to the 9th grade party on Wednesday, May 11 from 6-8 pm! The cost is only $5 (exact change is preferred at the door), and we're going to have tons of activities including laser tag, badminton, ping pong, Just Dance, a movie, snacks, and more. We'll also have a taco truck outside where you can buy food. Tickets will be delivered to students who qualify and will be required at the door (along with your $5) to enter. You must have less than 4 hours of detention to attend, and if you've been suspended this year, talk to your administrator to see if you're cleared to go. It's going to be a lot of fun!
Lagoon Field Trip Info
If you have purchased a ticket to ride the bus and attend Lagoon on May 19th, be aware that the buses depart PJHS promptly at 8:00 in the morning. Plan on being there early so that you don’t get left behind. Also, anyone who has purchased a ticket to ride the bus has the option to request a sack lunch to carry with them into Lagoon to be eaten during the day. Please complete this Google Form if you’d like to pick up a sack lunch after arriving at Lagoon (prior to entering the park). The form needs to be completed by 3:00 pm on May 16th.
Locker Clean Out
Be aware that our end-of-the-year procedures for cleaning out lockers have changed this year. Lockers need to be cleaned out by the end of school on May 24th. All students who have been assigned a school locker will be given a note in class prior to the 24th to remind them of the deadline. Staff will be inspecting the lockers that afternoon for any damage or graffiti. Any items left in the lockers after May 27th will be either donated or dumped.
Program Curriculum Feedback
Nebo School District is in the process of selecting programs/curriculum to support student skill development in: Self Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness, Responsible Decision Making, and Relationship Skills. We are seeking input from the community on potential K-12 programs. If you would like to review these programs, feel free to come to the Nebo School District Office’s Professional Learning Center (350 S. Main, Spanish Fork) which is located behind the district office by the baseball fields.
Our vetting process:  Currently we have several companies who have submitted curriculum. Our committee (made up of administrators, counselors, teachers, and parents) are doing a vetting to narrow the options for school. A public open house is scheduled for review on Thursday, May 12th, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
Yearbooks for Sale
We are now accepting payments for the 21-22 PJHS yearbooks. The fee is $25 and can be paid at the finance office, or online at My School Fees. If students are wondering if they have already paid, there is a poster hanging near the finance window listing completed payments sorted by student ID number. Early yearbook pickup will be available during 2nd period on May 26th for students who have paid all school fees and library fines.
Library Reminders
All books must be returned to the library by May 12th, and then it will be closed for the year. All books must be returned and fines paid before students can purchase tickets to Lagoon.

Summer Swim Team
Now is the time to sign up for summer swim team through Payson Recreation. You don't have to be a great swimmer, you just need to be able to swim with your face in the water and be willing to work hard and be committed to being a member of a team. Summer is the perfect time to get better and try it out so you know if you want to participate with the high school swim team!

It is that time of year when Audiobook sync offers free books for teens. Here is the link to register.  Each week they offer two books for teens and other readers to download through Sora.  I have enjoyed the books they have shared over the years.
