9th Grade CCR Meetings

Mr. Pyne's 9th grade Peer Leadership class has been enjoying volunteering at Spring Lake Elementary each week this month helping kindergarten students with their computer skills. Click the article to see some of these elementary students interacting with our peer leaders.

Nebo School District, the Advanced Learning Center and UVU are excited to announce several upcoming career nights for students and parents. 

Come join ALC and UVU professors and staff as we 'Explore the possibilities, discover possible careers, promising jobs, and earning potential associated with Aviation & Criminal Justice' Monday 1/23 from 6:00-7:00.

All events will be held at the ALC, 161 E 400 N. Salem.

9th Grade - Rebecca Gardner: Becca is always looking for ways to help me in class, she'll get her work done and then organize or clean things in my room!  -Mr. Sorensen
Jaxon Dalley: Jaxon has always been a focused, hard working student in my class.  He's a gifted athlete but more than that he cares about others and always has a great attitude.  Keep up the good work Jaxon!  -Mr. Archer

Mr. Gowans' Science 8 classes tested the effects of mass and velocity as they enjoyed dropping marbles of different masses to break tiles. KE=1/2 mass x Velocity squared! Click the article to see some more fun pics. 

Avoid the January doldrums and bring your family or grab a friend for a fun night out with the Payson High School Bagpipe Band! The pipe band is hosting a concert next week on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:30 pm, and you are all invited! 

In response to parent concerns about student health and well-being, Nebo School District is partnering with ParentGuidance.org to deliver presentations developed by licensed therapists. This series will be virtual, interactive, and is designed to help parents and caregivers support students. Registration, attendance and interactions are kept totally anonymous from other viewers. See this flier for registration information. First class is on January 19th.
