Mrs. Gillie and a group of her 9th Grade English students went to see "Peter and the Star-catchers" on March 2, 2017 at Hale Center Theater in Orem. The play was a story about how Peter Pan came to be--how he started out as an orphan, met Molly (the star-catcher and Wendy's mother), met and became enemies with Captain Hook, learned to fly, and decided that he never wanted to grow up. The playhouse was filled with constant laughter and a great time was had by all.
Payson Junior High has the coolest principal around! Mr. Swenson brought the Agriculture Science class donuts in his very own FFA Official Dress that he wore in high school. At the end of a busy week celebrating FFA the agriculture science class loved seeing Mr. Swenson in his official dress. Our administration is very supportive of our FFA program and we are so thankful for that!
On March 3rd, Latinos in Action visited Central Utah Veteran’s Home in Payson, Utah. They handed out muffins to all the kind veterans that have served our country. Each Friday the students visit our local veterans.
They talk with them, do activities with them, some of them even tell stories about wars in which they’ve served or they play piano for the students. It has been a joyous and fun experience.

Payson Junior High School’s Latinos In Action, is enjoying tutoring at Park View Elementary. The students have been excellent role models for all of the little students. They have been putting a lot of effort and hard work into helping each student succeed in their academic areas.
