Stepfamily Education

Did you know that 1 in 3 children currently live in a stepfamily? This includes many of the children within the Nebo School District. Utah State University's "Healthy Relationships Utah" has developed a program specifically for this underserved population: Smart Steps is a free, research-based curriculum that parents can attend virtually or in-person. Throughout this course, facilitators teach evidence-based strategies on increasing family unity, empathy

led discipline, family finances, strengthening the couple relationship, healthy co-parenting, and stress management. Stepfamilies face unique challenges and we're here to help. Click here for more information and to register.

Parent Guidance Site

Nebo School District is pleased to offer a free and confidential website for families. ParentGuidance.org Is a site developed by licensed therapists and provides trusted and specialized courses, professional support, and a safe community for parents to learn how to support your child. Parents can also get answers to mental health questions, especially anxiety, depression, self-worth, grief and loss, suicide ideation, family strife and other mental health concerns. Popular courses you may want to explore are “Parenting with a Purpose” and “Unlocking your Inner Parent SuperHero.” The courses within ParentGuidance.org will provide you with tools to form stronger bonds with your children.
