9th Grade Credit Recovery
If you have a 9TH GRADE student who received an "F" in English, Math, Science, or History then we will provide a summer school option, for those interested, to earn a passing grade.  We unfortunately do not have the means or staff to provide credit recovery for any other subject areas or grades. The cost will be $25 to be paid at PJHS finance office before May 27th (last day of school). To register or for more information email your student's counselor and let them know you are interested:

Locker Clean Out
Be aware that our end-of-the-year procedures for cleaning out lockers have changed this year. Lockers need to be cleaned out by the end of school on May 24th. All students who have been assigned a school locker will be given a note in class prior to the 24th to remind them of the deadline. Staff will be inspecting the lockers that afternoon for any damage or graffiti. Any items left in the lockers after May 27th will be either donated or dumped.
National Junior Honors Society Recognitions
We want to recognize the students who earned their NJHS certificates last week. The following students met all requirements (attendance, service hours, and participation in a group service project):  Ashlyn Alevy, Bailey Brokaw, Alayna Chidester, Sabrina Collins, Allison Daems, Sophia Frisby, Olivia Monahan, Kathryn Morgan, Juan Rivas, Abbygale Rowley, Dylan Thiel, and Eliza Wilder.
We also had 4 students who won the Presidential Service Award. Allison Daems and Evan Laker both earned the Bronze award, serving for 50+ hours throughout the year. Sophia Frisby earned the silver award, serving 75+ hours this year.  Kathryn Morgan earned the gold award for serving 100+ hours this year. Congratulations to these amazing students!
Final Badminton Tournament
BADMINTON PLAYERS; put your skills to the test!  Mr. Archer has invited several experienced players from around the state to participate so don't miss out.  Space is limited so sign up today. May 26th from 7 to 9 pm.  All are welcome. eric.archer [at] nebo.edu
Yearbooks for Sale
We are now accepting payments for the 21-22 PJHS yearbooks. The fee is $25 and can be paid at the finance office, or online at My School Fees. If students are wondering if they have already paid, there is a poster hanging near the finance window listing completed payments sorted by student ID number. Early yearbook pickup will be available during 2nd period on May 26th for students who have paid all school fees and library fines. Regular distribution will be during 2nd period on May 27th.
Lunch Information
Starting Wednesday, May 18th, students will again need to be entering their ID numbers to obtain their free lunch in the cafeteria. We want to remind everyone that the cost of lunch will be returning to normal next school year. Those in need of assistance in paying for school lunch and/or other supplemental meals can look into the following programs:
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

Free Audiobooks for Teens
It is that time of year when Audiobook sync offers free books for teens. Here is the link to register.  Each week they offer two books for teens and other readers to download through Sora.  I have enjoyed the books they have shared over the years.
Student Weekly Challenge
The challenge for the last couple of weeks is to find the best way to stay in touch with your friends over the summer.
