New Class Offered for 9th Grade Students This Year

NEW Elective this year:  We have a new elective this year, but it is for 9th grade only....  Law Enforcement is taught by Detective Knighton, our school resource officer.  Students who took the class during 1st semester really enjoyed it!  If you are interested in this class, see your counselor. We will waive the class change fee for the first 15 students.

Class Change Requests for 2nd Semester

There have been many requests for 2nd semester class changes. Counselors have been working on the requests so schedules are ready to go when term starts. THE LAST DAY TO MAKE A COURSE CHANGE REQUEST IS THURSDAY, JANUARY 13th. Requests made after the 13th will not be considered.

Drama Performance This Week

Our Drama III class is putting on a play, "Rich Mystery" on January 12th and 13th at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. Free admission or donate-what-you-want! Come see the hard work our drama students have accomplished in preparing for this production.

Congratulations to the top finishers of Monday's badminton tournament.  There were a lot of close games and it was a lot of fun.  Watch/listen for February's Badminton Challenge!

SheTech Explorer Day

SheTech Explorer Day on March 1st is a FREE, full day of STEM and hands-on workshops in tech for girls in 9th-12th grades. SheTech is proud to be supported by the State of Utah, and are so excited to be back in person this year! We know your students have missed field trips and off-campus activities and SheTech Explorer Day is the perfect opportunity for your students to engage with more than 100 tech companies and industry mentors as they explore college pathways and careers. SheTech is the largest event for high school girls in the state that is connected directly to our Silicon Slopes tech industry. Do you know someone who would be interested in SheTech? Forward this message and let them know! All girls from 9th-12th grade can register to attend. Click here for more information and here to register for the event.

Student Weekly Challenge

With the first half of the year coming to an end this week, we challenge students who have semester classes that are concluding (Health, PE, Art, etc.) to thank their teachers for the work they’ve done this year.

Attention future sophomores: We look forward to you joining us at Payson High School next year. This summer, we begin construction on the new Payson High School. During construction, parking will be limited to Seniors and Juniors only. We strongly encourage using the bus, carpooling, or walking. We wanted to give you an early heads up on this to plan accordingly.
