Here’s a fun story shared by one of our PJHS teachers regarding the quality of students we have at PJHS. We’re excited to see students joining us in just 2 days! Here’s his story for your enjoyment:
Last year on the last day of school everyone was ready for Summer. It's always a tricky time of year, nice weather, another year down and trying to finish strong. But, on this particular day there was a teacher from PJHS headed home after nearly everyone else was gone. Here's the story:
Tired and ready for Summer I approached my car hoping not to find anything awry as hinted by a student moving on to the High School. Spotting my car from a distance, all looked well but as I went to unlock the door I noticed a dollar bill and some coins on the seat. Then another dollar bill on the floor of the back seat. $2.51 and on one of the bills was written the names of three 8th grade students with a “we heart you.” I was bracing for the worst and got the best! Little things like this make a big difference in the life of a teacher.
There are a lot of great kids at PJHS and it's my blessing to teach them.
