As was mentioned in previous newsletters, we had our Fight the New Drug assembly on Feb. 18 where we learned about what science and research tell us about the dangers of pornography. Fight the New Drug is a non-religious, non-political, research based program. Due to technical difficulties many students were unable to view the assembly so we wanted to send out information on how to view their 3 part documentary series, "Brain, Heart, World." It is excellent and very informative. Here are the directions for those who are interested in creating an account to view the series:
Go to the Fight the New Drug website. (Fill in your info and click "join") Once it says you're logged-in, hover over the "Videos" tab along the top then click "Documentary". Click "Watch Free". There are 3 episodes to watch.
(For your information, most 8th graders have seen episode 1 & 2 already for those who would like to have a conversation with their child about what they learned.)
