Hispanic Heritage Month in Payson started off with a great Latino Festival on Saturday, Sept 24 at Peteetneet! Students from Payson Jr. High, Payson High School, and other schools, volunteered in the Opening Ceremony and participated in the Parade of Flags. There are 21 official Spanish-speaking countries, so 21 flags were represented! These students are in Spanish classes, Peer Leadership classes, and ESL classes.  Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated Sep. 15 through Oct 15.

You never know who you might run into in our larger community. One of our science teachers, Mr. Wright, was delighted to come across some of our PJHS students at a recent expo where famed science fiction author Todd McCaffrey was signing books. We love the varied interests of our students and staff members here at PJHS!
