The recipient of the Mayor Award for February is PJHS student Bryson Jensen. Bryson was selected for this award because of his positivity, friendliness, and determination. Here's what some of Bryson's teachers have to say about him:
Bryson is in my English class. He is such a good student. He does his work, stays on task, and is a good friend to his classmates. He is also quite the artist. For his Martin Luther King Junior project, he drew a picture on a poster board of MLK for the wall. He is a great guy. I am so happy I get to teach him. – Ms. DeGraffenried
Watch for your new Get Away Today magazine to come home with your student soon. Payson Jr. High School counselor John Plaisted was selected this week as the Daily Herald's Educator of the Week. From the article: "John Plaisted’s main objective is to help students be successful. As a counselor, he not only performs his daily and routine tasks, but he also looks for ways to help and encourage students to be successful students." We are thankful to have Mr. Plaisted as a counselor for our students at Payson Jr. High. Thanks for all you do, John!
