PJHS Parents and Students,

GRIZZLY GROWLS

Attendance Tip

  • If your child is absent, work with the teacher to make sure she or he has an opportunity to learn and make up for the academics missed.

E-mail is a great way to keep in touch with teachers, it is very difficult to reach them over the phone because of class times. Please keep in touch if your student is missing multiple days.

Perfect Attendance winners!

We want to recognize last week winners of Perfect Attendance Makenna Nostrom of the 7th grade and Spencer Reid of the 9th grade. Thank you for being here and being on time! Eighth grade your amount just doubled for next week.

Badminton Tournament

The first badminton tournament of the year is on the 28th before school.  We will start at 6 am.  Sign up with Mr. Archer.

4-H News

4H After School Clubs have officially started! We have lots of fun clubs you can join. We also have two homework help clubs which are geared towards helping students with their math homework or if they just need to stay at school to use a computer. One before school and one after school. This year the fee for clubs is $15 for the year. This will help to cover supplies for the clubs plus students will get a t-shirt! A registration form for the 2016-2017 school year also needs to be filled out and returned to Miss Ogden in room C-66. Students can pick up forms from Miss Ogden or from the front office. Here is a list of the clubs for fall:

Monday (2:00-3:30)- Harry Potter Cooking Club

Tuesday (2:45-4:30)- Maker Club & Foods Club

Wednesday (2:45-4:30)- Robotics

Thursday (2:45-4:30)- Wrestling Training & Pinterest

Friday (2:45-4:30)- (TBA)

Homework Clubs are Tuesday through Friday mornings in Mrs. Wagners  (D148) 7:20-7:50 and Tuesday and Friday afternoons in Ms. Lebaron’s room ( C78) 2:45-3:30.

BOX-TOPS~YES we collect them:

  • For every 10 Box Tops students bring into their 3rd Period class, they get a "5 Extra-Credit Points" coupon to use in any of their classes (with teacher’s acceptance). If students happen to bring in 50 Box Tops, then they will also receive a Free Homework Pass.

  • Extra Credit coupons will not be replaced if  lost or stolen—so students must keep it safe and redeem as soon as they know which class they would like to use the extra credit in. Box-top coupons do not expire at the end of the term.

NOTE: Teachers are not required to accept coupons for extra credit —so please check with teacher before presenting it.  Also, students may combine more than one coupon for a class.

School Spirit

The school would like to promote school spirit by having students purchase and wear a “Grizzly Nation” t-shirt. The green ones are $6 and the grey ones are $8. We encourage students to wear these shirts on Friday’s to show their school spirit.
