We are excited to announce the arrival of many new faculty members this year to our school. Here are a few of the new teachers in their own words.

Miss Alison Bertoch is joining the PJHS faculty this year and will teach 8th grade science classes.

Miss Bertoch says about herself, "I grew up in Southern California, and as a result love the sun and the beach. One of my favorite things is going back there to visit and see the ocean and soak up the sun. I love off-roading, hiking, camping, and any type of exploring that leads me somewhere new. I tried paddle-boarding this summer, and that has become one of my new favorite activities. I also like to read, dance, exercise, and try new things. My degree is in chemistry from BYU, and I am very excited to be teaching science this year. "

Miss Missy Jenkins will be teaching 8th grade US History I classes at PJHS.

I am a recent graduate from BYU. I majored in History Teaching and I love learning about early United States history and the history of slavery. I have worked for the last 2 years developing social studies curriculum for an education company here in Utah. Some of my hobbies include running, hiking, camping, and baking. I recently made a wedding cake for a friend's wedding in LA. I lived on the border of Arizona and Mexico for two years and am conversational in Spanish. Those two years helped me develop a great love for spicy Mexican food, especially tacos and Mexican hot dogs! I love teaching and am very excited to work with the students of PJHS!

A GRIZZLY welcome to these new teachers! Watch out for more to come!
