This month, our student Addi Slider was awarded the Mayor's Youth Recognition Award by the Payson City Council. This award recognizes Addi's positive attitude and kindness toward other Payson Jr. High students. Addi was nominated for this award by teachers who have experienced and appreciated her contributions. Here's what some of them have to say:

"Always sweet and friendly to everyone!! Really cares about people and their feelings!" – Mrs. Paxton

"Addi is a bright spot in B-Hall. She says hi to people by name, compliments constantly, and encourages people to make good choices. She is awesome." – Mrs. Bragg

"She is always happy and kind to everyone. She works hard in her classes and does her best.  She makes your day a little brighter when she smiles at you." – Mrs. C. Wilson

"Addi is very VERY kind to all. She is always concerned for others, and is always looking for the good she can do for them. She is very deserving of this award. I could honestly go on and on."  – Miss Simons

"Addi is always friendly to all students.  She enjoys school and is willing to help others enjoy school.  Addi will always give me and others a high five.  PJHS is a better school because of Addi." – Mr. Swenson
