Kelly Cobia, one of our students at Payson Junior High, was awarded the Mayor's Youth Recognition Award by the Payson City Council earlier this week. This award recognizes Kelly's hard work and effort to improve our school and community. She helps other students to be successful while also increasing their confidence. Kelly was nominated for this award by teachers who have experienced and appreciated her contributions. Here's what they have to say:

"Kelly has always blown me away with her work ethic and her kindness towards others. She is a wonderful friend to her peers. She will make a huge difference in the world. I know, because she already has." - Ms. LeBaron

"Kelly Cobia is excited about life and learning. She engages 110% in every challenge; it is more important to her to understand and perform correctly than it is to get the grade. I see Kelly as a life-long learner, constantly curious and ever-expanding her knowledge. She has a smile that never quits." - Mrs. Hulet

"Kelly is a model student and a great example to her peers. She is always willing to participate and share her insight." – Mrs. Gillie

"Kelly is friendly and hard-working.  She takes her education seriously and uses her time responsibly.  She shows both effort and self initiative and is kind and helpful toward others.  Our school is a better place because Kelly is in it.  She is a role model for others." – Mr. Davis

Thanks, Kelly, for being such an awesome Grizzly and making us proud. Congratulations!
