The recipient of the Mayor Award for May is 9th grade PJHS student Darwin Fackrell. Darwin was selected for this award because he works hard and is willing to help others around him. He is motivated and responsibile, and is a lot of fun to be around. Here's what some of Darwin's teachers have to say about him:

Darwin is a hard working student, and always willing to help those around him when they need his help. He has progressed a long way since entering my class two years ago, and is doing a great job. His hard work has really helped him move ahead in his math understanding. He has every right to be proud of his accomplishments in my class over the past two years. I am glad his efforts are being recognized in this way. He is very deserving. – Mr. Smith

Darwin has worked hard over the last few months to stay on top of his work. He is a motivated self-learner who is good about asking questions/help when needed. He interacts well with is peers and takes pride in doing his best.  – Mrs. Gillie

Darwin came to our school last year as an 8th grader and jumped right in.  He always has a great attitude, works hard and is always prepared.  Darwin also has great peer relations because he's fun to be around and will be missed next year at PJHS. – Mr. Archer

Congratulations, Darwin! Thank you for being a true Grizzly Hero!
