PJHS Parents and Students,

There are many things that happen this last 2 weeks of school. Please review this newsletter as it has most of the school wide news in it. There are many activities and events that if students aren’t listening to announcements they may miss. Besides the many activities that are upcoming it is very important that students stay current with their school work. One of the biggest problems we see is that students put assignments off. The teachers will be checking out for the summer just as the students do and the grades will already be posted unless they are working with a student specifically.

GRIZZLY GROWLS

Lagoon Trip

Lagoon day will be May 19th. School will be held for those not attending the Lagoon trip.

40 Book Club

Those students who have completed reading 40 books are invited to the 40 book club swim/pizza party on Friday May 20th.

Triathlon

Friday, May 20th is the annual PJHS Triathlon. Students and teachers will be competing in teams or individuals in a 125 meter swim, a 3 mile bike ride and a 1.3 mile run.

Spring Hike

Information has gone out to students about the Spring Hike to the Big Tree! If students still want to go they need to see Mr. Archer, ASAP! It is held May 23rd.

Locker Clean-Out

We will be having locker clean-out on Thursday, May 26th. Everything will have to be out of the lockers by the end of the day! It would be good if students started taking things home earlier if needed. We will also have all the lost and found items out, have students check to see if they have lost items.

Lunch Money

Parents please make sure your students lunch accounts are paid in full before our Lagoon trip and there is enough money in your students account for the remainder of the year. Here is your students balance:

Spring Sports

Track- We had another great tennis season at PJHS.  Our district tournament was held May 9 and May 10 at Springville High School. Everyone on the team was able to win a few matches at the tournament. Those that placed in the top 3 of their category were: CJ Ward, Mason Trotter, Jacob Ford, and James Rowley. We are excited for another great year of tennis next school year, with the girls season starting in August and boys starting in March.
