December Mayor's Award

Seth Carter at Payson City Council meeting
Award recipients from MNJHS, PHS, and PJHS with the mayor and city council.

Congratulations to 7th grader Seth Carter who earned the December Mayor's Award and was recognized at the Payson City Council meeting last week. A few of the teachers who nominated him had this to say:

Seth is very helpful in class, always asking me if he can help me with anything.  I really appreciate him taking the initiative in offering help. - Mrs. Bolz

Seth has shown outstanding citizenship. He noticed an ESL student struggling in my class and stepped in to help of his own accord. If he couldn't help the student using simple words and gestures, he would get help if they needed more support. I was very impressed, there have not been that many students in my 18 year teaching career that have shown that kind of compassion and initiative. – Mrs. Hall

Seth has a lot of energy in class, which rubs off on those around him in a positive way. – Ms. LeBaron

PJHS is proud of the things Seth and many of our students do each day to make our school and community a great place to be!
