PJHS' annual Red Ribbon Week was held recently to mobilize the school and community to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. Students participated in a banner contest to stamp out drugs, collectively walked 500 miles - each student walked 1/2 mile around campus, ran or cheered on runners in a 2 mile fun run, created a flash mob, and listened to speakers from BYU's football team including Tanner Mangum-QB, Nate Carter-RB, and Kurt Henderson-WR. The speakers stressed their success as a part of healthy lifestyle choices and how we all can be successful by making good choices.

We also heard from our very own in-house student band led by Mr. Plaisted on guitar, Jett Jacob and Kirienn Marrott-guitars, Tregan Palmer-drums, Mindy Riding-keyboard, with Brooke Black and Audrey Herget singing. Mr. Aintablian, Mrs. Holt and Mrs. Reid also made special appearances.

Thank you to everyone who organized during the week and made it a huge success. Our students did a great job sending the message that it's better to choose healthy lifestyles over drugs.
