Congratulations to our excellent math teacher, Mrs. Anne Purcell for receiving PJHS Teacher of the Year! Nebo School District posted the following on their website from comments from Mr. Swenson, our Principal,

“Anne is truly an exemplary teacher. She truly cares about students and greets her students at the doorway where she welcomes them. Students do not transfer out of her classes and parents actually request her. Anne’s classroom is a student-friendly environment. She is an advocate to helping other teachers and the school. She is without question, a Master Teacher.”

Mrs. Purcell represents our school admirably in every way! We are fortunate to have her at our school.

Parents the PTA is looking for parents to volunteer and adopt a teacher for teacher appreciation week! Please go this website to sign-up! We know the teachers love this week! Thanks!

Thank you Thursdays- April is our last Treat day for the Teachers.  Please Check the PTSA Facebook page for more info.

We are looking for some motivated ADULTS that will guide the Students in our PTSA (P= PARENT, T= TEACHER, S= STUDENT A= Association). You don't have to be a parent to serve. Parents & Guardians, Grandparents, Older siblings, Aunts, Uncles or just an awesome community leader. We welcome you all !!!!!  PLEASE let us know if you would like to help. The time that this requires is only 1 meeting a month and can be flexible to the new board members. We need to fill: President, Secretary, Treasurer, VP of Students, President Elect, VP Fundraising and Social Media.  We would love to include all who wish to serve our School.

Our #1 goal is to make sure our teachers know how much we appreciate all the work they do helping our students achieve their goals in life. We also help our students learn the value of serving others and leadership training while having fun too. The Students have done a lot of work this year in coming together and embracing the leadership possibilities  the PTSA provides.  We don't want to lose the momentum they are on. Please come and see what we are up to. PTSA meetings this year are held 2nd Thursday every month @ 10:30am in the Faculty lounge.

Final Bows

Peter Pan was a smashing success for their final performance on Monday night! Captain Hook, Smee, and their gaggle of pirates delighted the crowd with their clever humor and quick banter. Wendy's voice was so sweet in her lullabies, the crowd couldn't help but feel sleepy. Tiger Lily and her Indians marveled the stage with their sweet dance moves. Then of course there was Peter Pan and his lost boys (and girls) who dazzled the stage with their voices and quick escapes from Hook’s antics. We can't forget about the stunning performances of Michael, John, Mr. and Mrs. Darling, Nana, Eliza, and of course the special appearance of the crocodile.

Shout out to all the students who participated and dedicated months of their time after school to learn, practice, and perfect this play; their hard work payed off with full crowds every night. Mr. Aintablian deserves special recognition for all the time he spent designing, planning, and directing the show. The show was obviously directed by him with the bits of humor and personality scattered throughout. The play couldn't have happened without the help from Carma Heimuli who was constantly there helping with auditions, music, choreography, snacks, set designs, t-shirt designs, props, and everything in between. As well as the help from Alison Siggard who was the singing coach, Laura Russell who did the choreography, Julie Hancock, Sara Olsen, and Jamilah McMurdie who all helped with hair and makeup, and all the parents who gave rides, helped with tech, and supported their kids in their desire to be in the play.

The play was an absolute success, and thanks to everyone who came out to support our students and all their hard work!
