PJHS Band Concert

Mrs. Ericksen and the PJHS band students put on an amazing show last night. Our students are very talented, and that is in large part due to Mrs. Ericksen and her diligence in teaching them.

Thank you for being so great, Grizzlies!

PJHS Advanced Orchestra Receives Superior Rating

Article by Mrs. Petrucka

Congratulations to the Advance Payson Jr. High Orchestra for their performance at the Nebo School District Assessment last Thursday, March 8th. They received a straight superior, which is the highest grade possible. The guest judge was none other than Denise Willey, who got our school's whole string program going here in Payson about thirty years ago, and who we have to thank for our wonderful tradition of excellent string classes in our area. Denise was so impressed with our school's performance and had nothing but positive comments--both on our assessment form and in person.

March Mayor Award

The recipient of the Mayor Award for March is PJHS student Spencer Bennett (9th grade). Spencer was selected for this award because he works hard and participates in class. He is mature and responsibile, and makes sure to include other people. Here's what some of Spencer's teachers have to say about him:

Spencer is so positive and such a good influence on other athletes. He knows how to set goals, work hard, and then reach those goals. – Mrs. Bragg

PJHS Track and Field
